1:1 Executive Coaching
You’re delivering results. You’re respected. By most measures, you’re succeeding. But underneath that, something isn’t quite right.
Maybe decisions that used to feel clear now feel harder. Maybe the pressure is leaking into places it shouldn’t. Maybe you’ve reached a level where genuinely honest feedback is hard to come by, and you feel the gap.
Or maybe you’re simply aware that you’re operating at 80% of what you’re capable of. And you know the gap isn’t technical. It’s psychological.
Above and below the surface
As a Chartered Coaching and Counselling Psychologist with 25 years working with senior leaders across a wide range of sectors, I bring something different, the practised judgement to know not just what the research evidence and psychological frameworks say, but how to apply them rigorously, in context, to the person in front of me.
That means I understand business as well as I understand people. The pressures of the boardroom, the complexity of organisational life, the weight of decisions that affect culture, performance and direction. Clients don’t need to translate their world for me. I already understand it.
Decision quality, focus and resilience when the stakes stay high.
How you’re experienced by boards, teams and peers.
The patterns quietly capping your effectiveness — or your enjoyment of the role.
Navigating difficult stakeholders and organisational complexity.
New roles, scaling, exit and succession.
And what to do about it.
Built around what you need
The right structure depends on what you’re facing. Some situations need sustained support over time. Others need concentrated focus right now.
Ongoing Coaching
A retained partnership built around your situation, the depth, frameworks and 1:1 time stay consistent whatever the length. In practice that might mean a focused engagement to work through a specific transition, a longer partnership through sustained change, or an extended relationship that moves with you as your role and responsibilities grow.
The right shape is something we work out together.
Intensive Coaching
When the need is immediate, a high-stakes decision, a pivotal moment, no time for an ongoing relationship. A half-day, full-day or two-day block brings the same rigour and tailored approach as the partnerships, concentrated into a single period. You leave with clarity and a plan.

Common questions
Most executive coaches work above the surface, on behaviour, communication and strategy. As a Chartered Coaching and Counselling Psychologist I also work below it, with the psychological drivers actually determining how you lead, how you decide and how you perform under pressure. That means I can work with the patterns other coaches can only work around.
There is no standard package. Most clients work with me on a retained basis, and the structure is built around what you are actually navigating rather than a fixed number of sessions. We will talk that through in the first conversation.
Both. Sessions take place in person at my private consulting room in the City of London, or remotely by video, whichever fits the way you work. Many clients use a mix of the two.
Yes. Everything discussed is confidential, including where an organisation is paying for the work. I practise under the ethical codes of the British Psychological Society and the Health and Care Professions Council.
No. Most of the people I work with are already delivering and already respected, and come because they can feel something is not quite right, or because they have reached a level where genuinely honest feedback is hard to come by. The work is as much about what is possible as about what is difficult.
